Jamie Oliver opens restaurant in Plateau

Cool-tomato chef Jamie Oliver has opened another restaurant (sigh… We at the Tribune have yet to open a single one), this time in our own Plateau (4720 Marquette). Oliver teamed up with Derek Dammann (former chef at the now defunct DNA) to bring Maison Publique, which serves upscale British pub fare, to a city which sorely lacks its convivial presence. Although Oliver’s role seems restricted to that of investor, he’ll fit in nicely with the Plateau’s trendy crowd whenever he drops by.
