I’ve had a lot of beef with painting, installations, sculpture, and a whole bunch of other visual art recently. The gripes will be outlined in our next print issue. In the meantime, I’d like to ward off the impression as a hatorade-sippin-bro who doesn’t like the visionary advances we’ve made in the past few years, and drop some art that strikes me as worthwhile.
I came across Evan Roth a few days ago in a Smithsonian article. Roth is a former architect who got sick of working for the man, and bailed, now pursuing a career in some dope art. The majority of the stuff this guy does is original, clever, and sometimes outright funny. Check it.
